GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Patrick Morrisey said that West Virginia reached an agreement with the National Park Service on Friday to keep its two national parks fully open during the government shutdown—ensuring visitors can enjoy these outdoor spaces. WSAZ

Patrick Morrisey announced a donation agreement that will use nearly $100k from the state’s contingency fund to keep New River Gorge and Harpers Ferry National Parks open for 14 days amid the federal shutdown. - ➤ Drivers on I-64 in Cabell County faced lane and ramp closures as crews began shifting traffic onto new Guyandotte River bridges Friday at 7 p.m.—the right lanes east from Merritts Creek exit to 29th Street were closed with only one westbound lane open overnight. The on- and off-ramps near Huntington remain closed, and all lane and ramp closures will reopen Saturday morning between 6 and 7 a.m. WSAZ
