- ➤ Marshall University officials hosted a mile-long walk at Ritter Park on May 16 as part of Gov. Patrick Morrisey's Mountaineer Mile initiative; over 200 locals joined leaders from the university, Marshall Health Network, and the city to launch Community Cares Week (a four-day campus beautification event) (volunteer projects are planned to continue).
