EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Marshall Board of Governors approved the 2025-2026 fiscal year budget on April 9 — raising tuition and fee costs by 2.5 percent for resident and non-resident undergrad and grad students, along with increases to capital, rec center, and auxiliary fees. The budget also set a 2.6 percent rise in room rates and limited meal plan hikes to 4 percent — measures that will affect campus living costs. WSAZ
- ➤ West Virginia senators passed a bill that bans cell phone use during class, with the Senate vote coming 33 to 1 and the House approving the measure on March 21.
