ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An off-duty Marshall officer, Chase Poore, rushed to help during the Barboursville Garden Park Apartment fire that displaced 24 residents and saved lives even as authorities continue investigating the cause—neighbors have expressed their gratitude for his bravery. WOWK-TV
- ➤ A vehicle crashed into a home on the 100 block of Sycamore Street overnight—injuring one person, according to Cabell County dispatchers. WCHS-TV

- ➤ Foundry Theater is showing its flashback film—The Mothman Prophecies—today, which features WSAZ’s Susan Nicholas from 2002. Host Dylan Smith explained how viewers can watch the film on First Look at Four. WSAZ
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A report from the Ohio River Valley Institute shows that while tariffs on imports from Mexico, China, and Canada set for the first week of April will have little effect on West Virginia’s imports—concern is rising over potential retaliatory tariffs on coal exports to China that could severely impact the coal industry. The report points out that West Virginia’s exposure is different from states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, where import values are much higher. WOWK-TV

- ➤ Local food providers and farmers met at the Capitol on Thursday to voice concerns over USDA cuts to programs that support local farmers and food banks—attendees are asking state lawmakers to help protect the food economy.
