GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Patrick Morrisey advised shoppers to use credit cards instead of debit cards for online purchases after the Better Business Bureau reported a 125% rise in online shopping scams. He warned that deals which seem too good may be traps as Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach. WSAZ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Barboursville School, a child psychiatric treatment center owned by River Park Hospital (Universal Health Services), will close by Feb. 4 due to high renovation costs and flooding damage. The hospital is working with families to secure new placements while keeping its other mental health programs running. WCHS-TV
- ➤ The Cabell-Huntington Health Department ended its needle exchange program on November 25 (no additional details were provided). WSAZ
