- ➤ Marshall University held its annual Memorial Fountain Ceremony on Nov. 14 at its Huntington campus to remember victims of the 1970 plane crash — which killed 75 people — including football players, coaches, staff, fans and flight crew members. Charleston Gazette-Mail
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s office agreed in September to pay $1.9M to McKinsey + Company for six weeks of consulting on the state’s application for the Rural Health Transformation program under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The payment follows a 2021 $10M settlement over McKinsey’s drug sales consulting that was linked to West Virginia’s opioid crisis. Charleston Gazette-Mail

- ➤ Virginia’s Cavaliers dominated Marshall by scoring 61 points in the first half and winning 104—78 at John Paul Jones Arena Saturday as Thijs De Ridder and Malik Thomas led the team in front of 11,776 fans. MetroNews
