- ➤ Amazon will close its Customer Service Center in Huntington next spring — the company said staff will transition to remote work starting May and will keep their wages, benefits and positions. - ➤ Huntington’s mayor Patrick Farrell met with leaders from Amazon and Steel after the companies announced changes—Amazon is restructuring its customer service network while Steel idled its 1950s melt shop that will lead to about 100 job losses—and he said the moves reflect market dynamics with Steel investing $30 million in new rolling mills.
