- ➤ Gov. Patrick Morrisey said the state finished selling four hospitals to Marx Development for $60 million — the deal promises better patient care and includes an $80 million investment to build new facilities while keeping current staff. MetroNews
- ➤ Today Governor Morrisey announced a finalized $60 million sale of four state-owned long-term care facilities—including Hopemont Hospital + Jackie Withrow Hospital + John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center + Lakin Hospital—to Marx Development Group, with MDG’s Majestic Care taking over operations while employees keep their jobs.
