- ➤ Top chefs will return to Charleston for the Culinary Showcase to serve special dishes honoring the Culinary Arts program at Carver Career Center. - ➤ Mountwest Community and Technical College hosted its annual breast cancer survivor walk Monday to kick off a week of Pink Out for All events on campus. The events honor former employee Karen S. - ➤ Cabell County Schools’ Transportation District held a hiring event on Oct. 20—recruiting new transit staff by taking their outreach beyond traditional bus routes. WSAZ
- ➤ Plans for Hurricane Middle School are now in the design phase after the education board's update last Monday, with the design submission due next Monday + floor plans converted into computer drawings. The board said a traffic study to address congestion will be finished by early December. WSAZ

- ➤ Marshall won a double overtime game against Texas State at Joan C. Edwards Stadium as Adrian Norton caught a 21 yard touchdown pass in the second overtime and kicker Lorcan Quinn tied a record with four field goals—giving the team a 27-24 win.
