- ➤ The City Planning & Zoning Commission is reviewing plans for a 13-acre, $40 million project on 24th Street that may include a new Kroger Marketplace grocery store and fueling site. - ➤ Valley Health celebrated 50 years of service to the community on Monday during its Health Minute segment and shared a piece of its history with local viewers. WSAZ
- ➤ A representative from the Governor’s Office said the state is working to finish a funding application that must be sent by Nov. 5 to get about $100 million a year under the Rural Health Transformation Program—made by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act—to help rural health care. The plan will use help from McKinsey and will focus on making it easier to get care, better transport, and more workers while asking local health groups for letters of support. MetroNews
