  • Megan Evans from Ronald McDonald House Charities told First Look at Four that the charity will host an annual car raffle fundraiser at Chilifest on Sept. 27—designed to support its work.  WSAZ
  • Lucasville Trade Days are back at the Scioto County Fairgrounds this weekend — event coordinator Jim Wirth confirmed the event during a First Look at Four interview.  WSAZ
  • On September 12th, Todd and Tara Nelson from Old Colony Company of Huntington visited First Look at Four to discuss their monthly community outreach, which aims to support local efforts.  WSAZ

  • Angela Saunders, Director of the Prevention Empowerment Partnership at Marshall, visited First Look at Four with Brooklyn Johnson—the youngest Certified Prevention Specialist in the country—on Sep. 12th.  WSAZ

  • Governor Patrick Morrisey and Attorney General J.B. McCuskey announced the NCAA will require its selection committee chair to recuse themselves when West Virginia is considered for an at-large bid to prevent bias after the Mountaineers were left out last season—new rules will apply from 2026.  MetroNews

  • West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez switched quarterbacks last Saturday in Ohio by replacing Nicco Marchiol with Jaylen Henderson during the second half of the 17-10 loss, as both struggled to spark the offense. Rodriguez said he will keep evaluating his quarterback mix as WVU prepares for the Backyard Brawl against Pitt at Milan Puskar Stadium today at 3:30 p.m.  MetroNews
  • WVU Athletics Director Wren Baker announced Friday that the 'Backyard Brawl' series with Pitt has been extended through 2036 — the new schedule starts in 2033 at Acrisure Stadium, moves to Milan Puskar Stadium in 2034, returns to Pittsburgh in 2035, and ends in Morgantown in 2036.  WSAZ
  • On Friday night, Herbert Hoover beat Nitro 15—14 when Voss Duernberger kicked a 29‐yard field goal with 1:06 left after a key fumble recovery set up a 54‐yard drive — the Huskies won a close game after rallying from behind.  MetroNews
  • A power outage in Cabell County cancelled Friday night’s football game between Cabell Midland and George Washington high schools—leaving the homecoming celebration on hold.  WSAZ
