- ➤ A single-vehicle crash on I-64 West near the 18-mile marker at the Merritts Creek Road bridge at 10:30 a.m. Monday caused a fuel spill that closed the westbound lanes and the eastbound contraflow lane — traffic is being diverted onto the Merritts Creek Exit and no one was injured. WOWK-TV

- ➤ Huntington Police said 20-year-old Gabriel Zazueta died early Sunday morning after a shooting in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue—detectives and forensic investigators are investigating the case. WSAZ

- ➤ This Saturday, July 19, the Makers Art Fair will be held at 610 W. 14th Street in the Central City Historic District with a night market hosted by RenewAll Inc. & Village Antiques & Art. - ➤ The city council met Monday night and discussed upgrading Whitaker Boulevard, Madison Avenue, and Harvey Road bridges to reduce flooding — council members also approved extra lighting for the low barrier shelter at the Hub. The council authorized Mayor Farrell to sign a contract for a new fire station, with construction starting in August and finishing around August 2026. WOWK-TV
