Good morning, Huntington.

The Putnam County Fair began Friday evening near Eleanor and features rides, farm animal visits, and music that drew visitors despite recent heat – now the fair offers track events, a tap-dancing show, and more fun with a firework finale scheduled for July 19 at 10 p.m. The event continues to expand each day as vendors and performers add attractions throughout the fair.

A tree fell on a power line on 40th Street in Nitro and closed the road as crews from the utility company and DOH worked to clear the tree while no power outages were reported.
