  • The West Virginia Department of Education uses a USDA grant to run the Summer Food Service Program, offering free meals for students 18 and younger at 400 sites statewide. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • After flash flooding from Thursday night storms, workers cleaned Chief Logan State Park on Friday by removing fallen trees so visitors can return. The park superintendent said there were no injuries and only minor damage, though working in the heat without shade made cleanup challenging.  WSAZ
  • Cleanup efforts at Chief Logan State Park continued on June 27 — work is underway to remove debris from park areas.  WSAZ
