Good morning, Huntington.

Last week, Huntington veterans rode free on the bus thanks to Operation Transportation - a partnership between the Jan Dils Foundation and Tri-State Transit Authority.

The program, which started last Monday, lets 397 vets board after showing their military ID or a copy of their DD-214.

The northbound lanes of the 20th Street underpass will close—at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 26—for pump maintenance by the Huntington Sanitary Board and are expected to reopen before day’s end.

Emergency crews warned residents about the risk of heat stroke—dangerous temperatures are rising in the region and officials advised people to take extra care outdoors.
