On Saturday the Clay Center hosted an event with the Charleston Dirty Birds to unveil a new pitching cage exhibit — kids learned about the science and math behind baseball while enjoying interactive games and crafts like designing baseball caps and a Dusty puppet.

The event brought families together for a fun, educational experience.

Two people were transported from a single-vehicle crash on I-64 Westbound near Cabell Midland High School—an incident that took place around 12:50 p.m.—and responders from Barboursville Police, Volunteer Fire, Milton Police and Cabell County EMS attended the scene while injury details were not reported.

Renovations at the historic church are nearly complete as workers finish final touches on the building.

The project will soon let the church reopen and serve its community — officials expect a final inspection before it opens.
