- ➤ Marshall University welcomed the Class of 2029 Tuesday—new students toured campus and met student organizations as they began their orientation, and the program will run until Aug. 1. WOWK-TV

- ➤ Huntington city leaders are moving forward with a $2M downtown Streetscape Project to improve parking, traffic, and pedestrian safety across 10 downtown blocks — the plan will test hydraulic bollards on Ninth Street and aims to boost local events and economic activity. - ➤ Protesters gathered outside City Hall on Monday to voice their concerns over the decision not to fly the Pride flag during Pride Month. Councilmember Ally Layman said she had requested the flag be flown and that protesters expressed their discontent during the city council meeting—arguing the decision did not represent all community members. - ➤ City officials unveiled a summer paving plan to repair roads hit by a harsh winter and update accessibility standards using sensor data to map repair needs.
