ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A tractor-trailer became stuck under the 10th Street underpass in Huntington on June 9 as crews worked to free the vehicle while its driver from Cincinnati hauled tires — the underpass is closed in both directions and may remain shut for several hours. WSAZ

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Holderby Hall on Marshall University campus was demolished on Saturday to clear space for new apartment-style housing. Crews cleaned up on Monday and will slowly remove the top four floors in coming weeks as the university plans to offer bricks for sale once the work is complete. WSAZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mayor Patrick Farrell said during Monday night's City Council meeting that Huntington is short 1,000 rental units and 1,800 homes for sale as 24,000 commuters and 22% of workers want to live closer. He said the city is working to streamline permitting for developers—advance zoning reforms to build more middle housing, strengthen code enforcement by inspecting registered sober living homes, and set up a contract with Strawser Construction Inc. for asphalt micro-surfacing.
