- ➤ The West Virginia Supreme Court has imposed a hiring freeze on all open judicial positions due to a $5.5 million funding cut—affecting court jobs in all 55 counties—and officials report more than 60 vacancies remain while they plan to seek supplemental funding from lawmakers. WCHS-TV
