- ➤ West Virginia American Water is asking state regulators to approve a 27.9% rate hike that will raise net annual revenue by $60.5 million to help replace aging infrastructure — the proposal includes a 15.1% increase for water services starting March 1, 2026 and a 5.7% rise for wastewater services set for March 1, 2027, which could boost customers' bills by about $11 and $5 a month respectively.
