Good morning, Huntington.

All lanes on I-64 east were closed after a fatal two-vehicle crash near mile marker 31 in Milton—traffic was diverted and two people were taken to a hospital early Sunday morning.

Officials said the slow lane on I-64 west is closed after a truck hauling a trailer carrying paint had the trailer disconnect and spill paint on the roadway — cleanup crews are checking the road.

Leah Hensley, a human trafficking survivor abducted from Beckley and drugged in a Pennsylvania basement, escaped through a small window (her escape highlights the risks faced by vulnerable locals) and now works with the Monroe County Quick Response Team to aid victims and boost awareness (as officials report ongoing cases and a recent historic trafficking prosecution).
