The opening day of Jim’s Strawberry Pie Week was May 13 at Jim’s Steak & Spaghetti House in Huntington, where a line stretched for blocks.
The event runs through May 17 and offers merchandise + all proceeds to support the Cabell Wayne Huntington Animal Shelter.
A water main break disrupted water for over 300 customers—two schools and an apartment complex—on Tuesday morning, leading to school cancellations at Huntington High and Hite Saunders as well as service interruptions at Green Tree Apartments.
West Virginia American Water estimated restoration would have been completed by 4:30 p.m.

Marshall added 7 foot 4 center Matthew Van Komen to its men’s basketball team for next season after he battled injuries at several colleges.
The school also added football players including former WVU running back Tony Mathis Jr. and redshirt senior cornerback Al Ashford—who missed last season with an ACL injury—and long snapper Brock Walters.
