- ➤ Senator Capito said the state’s $1.2 billion broadband funding has not been released and that federal delays are keeping West Virginia from starting its high-speed internet projects. During a meeting today, state officials and director Kelly Workman explained that the pause on the BEAD program since March 5 may set back fiber upgrades many West Virginians depend on—prompting urgent calls for faster action. - ➤ The House Energy and Commerce committee will share plans next week to cut at least $880 billion in spending, with changes to Medicaid that support over 500,000 West Virginians.
