- ➤ Teacher Andy Lovejoy & his wife introduced Math Pong 2026 at Marshall University, creating an algebra tournament where public and private school students use Microsoft tablets to answer math problems based on the classic Pong video game. The event is now in its third year of play. WSAZ
- ➤ Today, community members viewed the new Woody Williams Center for Advanced Learning and Careers at Huntington Mall during a ribbon cutting event (providing locals their first look inside a facility built for advanced learning and career training). WSAZ
- ➤ Marshall University School of Pharmacy held its 11th annual hooding ceremony on Thursday at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center (22 PharmD and five MSPS degrees were awarded) before the 2 p.m. commencement at Marshall Health Network Arena this Saturday. WSAZ

- ➤ Marshall softball was shut out 6-0 by Coastal Carolina in a Sun Belt quarterfinal game at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park in Lafayette today; Coastal Carolina's grand slam powered their advance in the tournament. MetroNews
- ➤ University won its first OVAC softball championship today with a 5 to 1 win over John Marshall in Wheeling. Olivia Masoner hit a grand slam and pitcher Sophia Lehosit struck out 12 batters, setting the stage for regional play on Tuesday. MetroNews
