- ➤ The legislature passed Alyssa's Law so school staff can now trigger lockdowns using wearable panic buttons after receiving a $48,888 donation & a $300,000 education pledge. Officials say the funds are the first step toward a statewide safety upgrade costing between $9.5 and $10 million. WCHS-TV
