- ➤ A Cabell County judge sentenced contractor Jacob Dean Meadows to 1 to 10 years of home confinement on Tuesday after he was convicted for obtaining money by false pretense from homeowners in two counties—he must pay $18,000 to one victim with monthly payments of $1,000. WSAZ

- ➤ Huntington city council approved funds that let Mayor Patrick Farrell use opioid settlement money to build a new emergency overnight shelter on 3rd Avenue West—designed to provide addiction treatment, mental health services and housing assistance.
