- ➤ The West Virginia Farm Museum turned 50 Saturday at its Point Pleasant grounds. Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt and board president Larry Jones praised the museum’s role in preserving farming history (created by Walden Roush) for the benefit of local educators and visitors. MetroNews
- ➤ Today, Huntington marks the 250th anniversary of the 1774 skirmish at the mouth of the Kanawha River (the event that ignited Dunmore’s War and paved the way for the American Revolution) as part of our local historical celebration. MetroNews

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The West Virginia DOT received $65 million to replace Dunbar Toll Bridge and update the Kanawha Turnpike Overpass. The project will begin by 2028 and the bridge will close for about a year, impacting hospital trips and local grocery visits. WSAZ
- ➤ Appalachian Power Company agreed to cover water bills for Wayne Water customers for February and March (providing relief after vandalism cut off clean water), Mayor Danny Grace said in a letter. WSAZ
