  • West Virginia facilities, including Ravenswood's Constellium and Fairmont’s NASA center, helped guide Artemis II's crew to a safe splashdown on Friday. The Green Bank Telescope tracked Orion and local experts showcased the state's role in space exploration (boosting community pride).  WCHS-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Marshall University’s Institute for Cyber Security is hosting a hands-on training on operational technology on April 14–15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will learn to protect energy, water, transportation, healthcare, and finance systems as digital risks increase + gain critical skills.  MetroNews
  • WVU President Michael T. Benson told the state Board of Education he plans to invite 7th to 9th grade students for a campus field trip in Morgantown to learn about college opportunities (modeled after Coastal Carolina’s Teal & Tech Experience).  MetroNews

  • Local groups & health organizations submitted statements in a state Supreme Court appeal questioning if a governor’s executive order can extend religious exemptions to the mandatory vaccination law for public schools.
