- ➤ Governor Patrick Morrisey expressed deep sorrow after a fatal accident at Panther Eagle Horse Creek Mine in Raleigh County claimed the life of shuttle car operator Aaron Warrix, and the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety, and Training is investigating the incident. WSAZ

- ➤ Route 60 Music Co.—a familiar local music business—announced it will close in early May. The change affects local operations as the company prepares to wind down its services. WSAZ
- ➤ A new towing and recycling center opened on Friday, Apr. 3 in Huntington (offering quick towing and recycling services) and officials say it will boost local convenience for residents. WSAZ

- ➤ Crews are repairing the bridge along Georges Creek Drive after safety concerns prompted an inspection + work began Friday, Apr. 3 and is set to finish soon. WSAZ
