- ➤ Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power submitted an application to the Public Service Commission to securitize certain assets and lessen a proposed $250.5 million revenue increase on customers. - ➤ West Virginia has about 6,000 children in state custody and 471 live out of state; a federal judge and state officials say the system is broken. - ➤ Kenova Municipal Water issued a boil water notice in Prichard after draining and refilling the town tank for maintenance on Saturday — residents are told to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or food preparation until the problem is resolved within 48 hours.
