- ➤ A 33-year-old man who was shot on Thursday night inside an apartment on the 500 block of 7th Avenue died after being taken to a hospital—police are now seeking a person of interest with no arrests made yet. WSAZ
- ➤ Huntington Police arrested Anthony D. Presley, 35 years old, on charges of child neglect resulting in injury and firearm possession after his child sustained a gunshot wound on March 20 at 9:12 p.m.—the victim remains in stable condition. WSAZ
- ➤ A suspect is wanted after an armed robbery took place at a smoke shop in Huntington—authorities continue to seek leads on the individual. WSAZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At the budget hearing on Thursday night, Huntington residents protested Mayor Patrick Farrell’s plan to cut funding for the city mission and animal shelter, saying the cuts would leave vulnerable people without support. The City Council will vote on the budget Monday+ many community members are urging an ordinance to require the mayor to release all approved funds. WCHS-TV
