  • Crews patched potholes along Interstate 64 on Tuesday during routine maintenance to improve road conditions.  WSAZ
  • The 8th Street underpass is closed temporarily for maintenance and repairs to improve safety, so drivers are advised to use alternate routes until the work is done.  WSAZ

SPORTS NEWS

  • Tug Valley defeated Greater Beckley Christian 60-13 on Tuesday — they will face St. Mary’s in the semifinals at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.  WSAZ
  • Tug Valley girls basketball won 60-13 over Greater Beckley Christian in Tuesday's Class A quarterfinal at the Charleston Coliseum; the Panthers used strong defense (and secured 71 rebounds) and now face No. 3 St. Marys in the state quarterfinal.  MetroNews
  • The W.Va. Girls Basketball State Tournament began Tuesday — games in local high school gyms saw teams vying for a spot in later rounds scheduled for later this week.  WSAZ
