EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The West Virginia Senate Education Committee met today to discuss Alyssa’s Law, a measure that would require teachers and staff to wear a mobile alert system that lets them call 911 + start a lockdown. The bill now moves to the full Senate for further review. WSAZ
- ➤ Delegates approved new school funding changes (passage ended with an 89 to 2 vote) that will retain the current formula until 2029 before switching to block grants for county schools and offering charter school adjustments. The amendment now moves to the state Senate. MetroNews
