- ➤ Playmates Teen Center will return to Westmoreland as a new facility is built across from the former Westmoreland Middle School in Huntington to offer supervised after-school space for local teens; meanwhile a 17,000 sqft Barboursville project nearly complete, including a gym, will serve around 300 youth. - ➤ A local group is offering laundry and shower services to support residents facing a water crisis. The service started yesterday at a community center and remains available as the crisis continues. WSAZ

- ➤ The House of Delegates passed the Recharge West Virginia Act on Wednesday, creating a program that will reimburse small business owners up to $50,000 a year for eligible upskill training in economically distressed regions - the bill now heads to the Senate for further review. MetroNews
- ➤ Officials from WVU and Marshall told lawmakers during budget hearings last Wednesday about campus maintenance needs, including HVAC issues in Hope Coliseum, repairs at Stuart Hall, and inefficiencies in chemistry lab ventilation.
